Aurora Borealis visible from Europe
Friday’s aurora was visible across much of Europe. NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center classified the event as G5, the highest level on its geomagnetic storm scale.
Hundreds of millions of people around the world were treated to stunning displays of the Northern Lights after a historic geomagnetic storm hit Earth on Friday, and incredible time-lapse videos recorded in North America and Europe are providing stunning views of vibrant colors dancing across the night sky.
