This 29-year-old cat could soon reach the Guinness World Record as the oldest feline in the world

People all over the world are concerned about ways to stay young as they age. They take various medications and exercise to stay fit and healthy. There are world records for people living to 100 to 110 years or more. However, in recent news, a man claimed to have the oldest cat in the world.

Leslie Greenhoff, a 69-year-old man, believes he has the oldest cat in the world. According to him, Milly is 29 years old and was born in 1995. The cat was owned by Paula Greenhoff, late wife of Leslie Greenhoff. The cat was just three months old when she was adopted by Paula. Paula met Leslie through a dating website on October 10, 2012. He lost his wife to COVID-19 in April 2020.

According to a report published in the Daily Star after the news went viral, people asked for the secret to the cat’s health. Leslie stated that the cat had never been to the vet. According to the owner, the cat eats a mixed diet of chicken and Purina food. Millie is not considered the oldest cat in the world. Officially, the oldest cat in the world is 28-year-old Flossie. According to Leslie, Millie is slower these days as she is 29 years old. The cat also became a little deaf. Leslie expressed, “She can still jump over the sides, but she’s a little slower these days. It’s just the two of us, and she doesn’t mind any other cats, so I think that’s helped her live a long, peaceful life. She has never been to the vet since I owned her or had any real health issues. She’s a little deaf now and loves sleeping on my bed.” Leslie also mentioned that the cat mostly likes to lie on the couch and prefers lots of treats.

Leslie wants to submit Millie to Guinness World Records. They are currently trying to contact their authorities. According to records, 29-year-old cat Flossie, born on December 29, 1995, remains the oldest cat in the world.

“She can still jump up the sides, but she’s a little slower these days. It’s just the two of us, and she doesn’t mind any other cats, so I think that’s helped her live a long, peaceful life.

The owner said he is trying to get Millie’s name into the Guinness Book of World Records in memory of his late wife. Leslie Greenhoff also added, “She loved Millie and everyone should know what a remarkable cat she is.”
