The 2024 BET Awards Winners: A Complete List
The 2024 BET Awards — celebrating “culture’s biggest night” — officially kicked off at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
Taraji P. Henson returned as host of the awards ceremony, her third time as emcee. The ceremony continued after a red carpet event, which showcased several stunning and striking celebrity looks.
Megan Thee Stallion opened the show with a fiery performance of her song, “Hiss.” Henson then took the stage to perform a playful parody of Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us” — a diss track aimed at Drake.
Drake, the Canadian rapper whose much-talked-about rap feud with Lamar has made headlines in recent months, led this year’s BET Award nominations with seven nominations.
Usher, who received four nominations for this year’s show, was selected to be honored with a BET Lifetime Achievement Award.
BET announced earlier this week that Will Smith would perform a new original song during the show, joining a roster of other artists including Lauryn Hill, Tyla, Victoria Monét and Shaboozey.
Smith debuted his new song “You Can Make It” with Fridayy and Sunday Service on Friday.
