The field for the PGA Championship at Valhalla is set.
Each of the top 103 players in last week’s Official World Golf Rankings were invited to Louisville, Kentucky, including No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. SH Kim, who was ranked 107th, originally did not receive an invitation, but made the alternate list when Rory McIlroy, who was already in the PGA field, won the Wells Fargo Championship.
Meanwhile, Chris Gotterup won the opposite field Myrtle Beach Classic to book his ticket to the second major of the season.
LIV Golf has 16 players on the field. Joining defending champion Brooks Koepka (37th in the world when the field was initially announced) are Jon Rahm (5), Tyrrell Hatton (17), Cam Smith (56), Adrian Meronk (63), Lucas Herbert (89), Joaquin Niemann (91), Patrick Reed (92), David Puig (106), Bryson DeChambeau (117), Dean Burmester (130), Phil Mickelson (158), Andy Ogletree (214), Dustin Johnson (379), Martin Kaymer (4,317). ) and Talor Gooch (644).
