A post about a worried cat owner who was relieved to discover what his feline was up to via a pet camera has gone viral on Reddit.
The cat’s antics were captured in a viral video shared under the username Able-Button198 and has received 11,000 upvotes since it was posted on July 3. The footage shows a white-furred cat sleeping on a human bed. The feline is shown slumped on its side on a pillow before later being seen lying on its back.

A caption shared with the video reads: “I went to work and was worried about my cat, so I checked the camera and saw my cat sleeping very comfortably. Suddenly I realized that I was the one who needed attention.”
The poster is not alone in being concerned about his pet. Owners are showing more concern for their animals since the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a March 2021 survey conducted by market research firm OnePoll in partnership with Portland, Oregon-based Banfield Pet Hospital, one in three people said they got a new pet during the pandemic.
As COVID-19 restrictions were lifted and workers began returning to the office, many people found themselves leaving their pets alone at home while they went to work.
The March 2021 survey found that around a third (32%) of pet owners said they had reached out to their vets for advice on how to make the transition back to work easier for their pets.

The survey also found that about one in two Gen Zers and one in three millennials said they would consider looking for another job in the post-pandemic era if their workplace did not accept pets.
‘So relaxed’
Reddit users loved the sleepy cat in the viral post.

BlippitySkip said: “That cat is sleeping like he’s in a 5 star resort.”
EnderMoleman316 noted: “That is the most comfortable cat I have ever seen in my life.”
Unfair-Public-1754 agreed, saying, “That kitty looks so cozy,” and serity12682 said, “That cat is so happy.”
