1. ‘Battle of the Bands’ Concert in Melbourne

The Swingtime Jazz Orchestra will take on the Space Coast Big Band at the Melbourne Auditorium on Wednesday 15 May.  Visit mmband.org.

Melbourne Municipal Band presents “Battle of the Bands,” a face-off between the Swingtime Jazz Orchestra and the Space Coast Big Band, at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. 2. Cocoa Village Summer Arts and Crafts Fair

Artists and craftspeople will showcase their work at the Summer Art & Craft Fair in Cocoa Village on Saturday and Sunday, May 11th and 12th.

The free event for kids and pets will take place at Cocoa Village on Saturday, May 11th from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, May 12th from 10am to 4pm. There will be street food, live entertainment and more. Artists and artisans will present their products. Visit visitcocoavillage.com.

3. Indian River Quartet Concert in Cocoa

The Indian River Quartet will give a free concert at the Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library in Cocoa on Thursday, May 16.

The Indian River Quartet will give a free concert featuring music by the Beatles on Thursday, May 16, at 6 p.m., at the Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library, 308 Forrest Ave, Cocoa. The program will feature hits such as “Hello Goodbye” and “Hey Jude”. Entry is free. Call 321-633-1792.

4. Melbourne Rummage Mega Sale

Vendors will have items for sale at the Melbourne Mega Rummage Sale at the Melbourne Auditorium on Saturday 11 May.

The Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd., Melbourne, transforms into a shopper’s paradise on Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors will have many different items to sell. Entry is free. Call 321-608-7420 or visit melbourneflorida.org.

5. Free movie in the park: ‘Moana’

Enjoy a free screening of the film

The film “Moana” (PG) will be shown at Fred Poppe Regional Park, 1951 Malabar Road NW, Palm Bay, on Saturday, May 11, at 8 p.m. Seating begins at 7pm. 7. Third Thursday on Avenida Viera

Avenida Viera hosts Third Thursday events every month, with live music, vendors, snacks and more.  Visit avenueviera.com.

This free night for families and pets will be outdoors in the Central Park area at Avenida Viera, 2261 Town Center Ave., on the third Thursday of each month. This month’s event will be Thursday, May 16th from 5pm to 8pm. Enjoy live music, vendors, complimentary snacks, and a free drink or ice cream. There will be live music from Whiskey JuJu. 8. ‘Sunset in the Hollows’ Walks in Melbourne

Hundred Acre Hollows, 1170 Rock Springs Drive, Melbourne, will be open on Sundays, May 12, 19 and 26 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Take a nature walk on the 2-mile trail or take a shorter stroll along the berms. Enjoy sunset photography, bird watching, and wildlife viewing including raccoons, deer, and bobcats. There is also an Audubon Native Plant Garden and a Keep Brevard Beautiful Native Plant Garden. Visit cemacrehollows.org.
