Self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet will showcase children’s book by Janet Steele, Nimbus: Prince of Fluffat the 2024 Printers Row Lit Fest (PRLF). The literary festival will take place at Printers Row Park, 620 S Dearborn St (Ida B Wells & Polk), Chicago, Illinois, September 7-8, 2024.

The nonprofit Near South Planning Board annually organizes the Midwest’s largest outdoor literary showcase – Printers Row Lit Fest. In its 39th edition, the unique book event will once again provide an opportunity for authors to find their niche in the publishing world. More than 100,000 participants, including authors, book lovers, booksellers, publishers and content creators, are expected to attend the event.

Nimbus: Prince of Fluff is a collection of candid photos of ordinary house cats doing ordinary house cat things, telling a story of their imagined, action-packed lives. It all starts when a muddy, orphaned 3-week-old kitten joins the household. Prince Nimbus leads his knights into battle against an ancient enemy, with all the “action” taking place in an ordinary house over the course of a year.

The book is part of the author’s “Tales from the Kingdom of Fluffiness”, which chronicles the imagined lives of different domestic cats.

Author’s biography:

Janet Steele is a professor of anatomy and physiology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. “Tales from the Kingdom of Fluffiness” began during COVID-19 when one of her students brought her a dirty, orphaned kitten to add to her cat family. That poor kitten became the beautiful Prince Nimbus, ruler of the Kingdom. The author and her husband serve the Kingdom as a servant and high servant, respectively.
