Minnesota State Fair reveals free entertainment schedule for 2024


Although some things at the fair – namely the food – cost a lot, visitors can see musicians, magicians, comedians and other top performers for free.

There are two things visitors are advised to bring when attending the Minnesota State Fair.

A voracious appetite and a full wallet.

While the Great Minnesota Get-Together may involve a big late-summer spending spree, there are also plenty of things to do that don’t cost a thing. On Monday, fair organizers released the 2024 free entertainment schedule, which includes more than 900 shows that will take place on stages spread across the Falcon Heights grounds.

Here are some of the highlights.

  • Maggie Rose – August 24th and 25th, 8:30 pm
  • Marky Ramone plays The Ramones Classics – August 28th and 29th, 8:30pm
  • Semissonic – September 1st and 2nd, 7:30 pm

  • Money Church
  • Terrance Simien and the Zydeco experience
  • The Motown Men
  • Monroe Crossing

West End at sunset at Schell’s Stage at Schilling Amphitheater

  • Tina Schlieske & Friends – August 22nd and 23rd, 8pm
  • First Avenue goes to the fair – August 30th and 31st, 8pm
  • The Allmanac Brothers – September 1st, 8pm and September 2nd, 7:30pm

  • The Jorgensens
  • Mick Sterling and Cate Fierro
  • MNHS presents History On-A-Schtick

After Dark Bazaar on the International Bazaar Stage

  • The 70’s Magic Sunshine Band – August 22nd and 23rd, 8pm
  • Cedar Cultural Center presents Global Meeting – August 28th and 29th, 8pm
  • International Reggae All Stars – August 30th and 31st, 8pm

Daytime entertainment at the International Bazaar Stage

  • New Primitives

  • Native Pride Dancers

Family Fair Stage at Baldwin Park

  • Children’s dance
  • The Chipper Experience! Where comedy and magic meet!
  • Alléz-OOPS! Circus. Comedy. Show
  • MSF County Fair Talent Contest

Along with the main entertainment stages, there are venues scattered throughout the venue featuring attractions such as the All-Star Dogs Splash, the Timberworks Lumberjack Show, the Arts A’ Fair (pop-up dance, theater and musical performances) and the daily Timberworks Parade. State Fair with floats. , marching bands and more.
