Wirt County Sideliners Golf Race
The Wirt County Sideliners and the Wirt County High School football team will hold their annual golf contest on June 1 at the Mingo Bottom Golf Course.
Tee times will begin at 9am, $200 per team, there will be cash prizes for first, $400, second, $200 and third place, $100, 50/50 and closest to the pin prizes. We also have a $5,000 hole in one prize on hole #10 Par 3 and some very good prizes for a hole in one on all the other par 3 holes. Food and drinks will be provided. Please pre-register if possible.

MOVTA will hold monthly meeting
The Mid-Ohio Valley Tennis Association (MOVTA) will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, May 13, at 6 p.m., at Panera Bread. We will review updated plans for spring and summer activities. Anyone interested in tennis in the area is invited to attend.

MOVTA Spring Fling Tennis Tournament
The 2024 MOVTA Spring Fling Tennis Tournament will be held May 18-19. The game could start as early as Saturday, May 18, at 9am.
Game times will be available by calling Mike Politz at 304-588-0809 after 6pm on Thursday, May 16th.
The location is the Jackson Park tennis court in Vienna. The format is round-robin in blocks of approximately two hours. The match format will vary depending on the number of players in each age group/event. Players can play in various events.
Events are 10-14 boys singles, girls singles and doubles / 15-18 boys singles, girls singles and doubles / and mixed doubles. All singles events are $15 and all doubles events are $15 per individual, per event (i.e. $30 per team). Registration forms must be received and/or postmarked by Tuesday, May 14th in order to register for the tournament. Mail registrations and payments to: MOVTA, PO Box 5183, Vienna, WV 26105. Photos or scans of entries can also be emailed to movtaovta@gmail.com with fees paid at the tournament. The registration form is on the Mid Ohio Valley Tennis Association Facebook page and forms are at the Wood County Rec Office in City Park.
