Lobbying World: RNC alumnus joins BGR

Emma Vaughn is joining BGR Public Relations as vice president. Most recently, she served as deputy communications director for the Republican National Committee (RNC) and is a Trump Victory alumna.

Catherine “Gato” Hill Joined, joined Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) as vice president of public affairs. Cat was previously a spokesperson for the corporate communications team at Twitter, now X.

Dustin Brighton will lead Husch Blackwell Strategies‘(HBS) new office in Arkansas as managing director. He was previously managing director at Brightstone Bridge and is a government relations alumnus of eBay, Microsoft and Walmart.

Chris Cillizza Joined, joined Dentons Global Consultants (DGA) as a senior consultant. A longtime political journalist, he has worked for the Cook Political Report, Roll Call, Washington Post and CNN.

Seven Letters hired Casey Hernandez as a partner. Hernandez was most recently senior vice president of global corporate communications at Herbalife, and previously served in senior communications roles at the Treasury Department and Department of Transportation during the Obama administration.

The strategic communications company is also adding Anthony Nerantzis as director; Fitzpatrick Abbey, Georgia Shanker It is Radeeyah Khan as content experts; Annie Phifer as manager of Seven Letter Insight; It is Hedi Haleem as director of administration.

BWX Technologies hired João Lúcio as senior director of government relations. He previously worked for Graves Strategy Group and the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, and is a retired commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy.

Signal Group announced five promotions: Julian Graham to the director, Vinny Sheu for director of creative content, Thomas Shark for senior digital campaigns manager, Meg Fosha for manager and Jenna Kent for executive associate.

Public Policy Holding (PPHC), the umbrella group that houses companies such as Forbes Tate, Seven Letter and Alpine Group, has acquired the California-based public relations firm Lucas Public Relations.

Brendan Dunnmost recently partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, launched Phronesis DC Dunn was previously a political consultant and advisor to Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and general counsel to the Senate Finance Committee.
