The Lawrence Humane Society and Lawrence cat cafe Espurresso will hold an event this week to educate people on how to adopt the littlest floofs.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the cafe, 1014 Massachusetts St. Attendees can learn about what kitten fostering involves and how to get started.
“We’ll cover all the basics, like why fostering kittens is so important, what it involves to foster kittens of different ages and life stages, teach some essential kitten care skills, and more,” according to a post about the event.
“You will leave feeling better equipped, informed, and ready to begin your adoption journey!”
For those looking for forever pets, the humane society is wrapping up its Summer VaCATion on Sunday, during which adoption fees for adult cats are $25 and fees for kittens are $75. Fees will be reduced from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 14.
