Fête Nationale 2024 in Houdan (78): fireworks, folk dance and family entertainment
The town of Houdan is organizing festivities for the Fête Nationale on July 13 and 14, 2024. The program includes a torchlight procession, fireworks and a popular dance, as well as a country-style meal and family entertainment!
For July 14th, the city of Houdan in the Yvelines is doing everything it can and organizing two days of festivities. For the national holiday, which celebrates the storming of the Bastille, this beautiful medieval town and its keep welcome you on the night of July 13, 2024with a series of freefull of fun eventswith friends and family! It is also an opportunity to discover the history of the city and its many secrets, well kept since the Middle Ages.
We start with a lively torchlight procession from the town hall courtyard, where you can grab your lanterns and watch the Dixmude Majorettes and Pop Street Brass Band wake up the entire neighborhood!
As every year, the procession will head to the Parc du Cygne under the glow of thousands of small lamps, to watch the fireworks to 11pm, before ending the night in style with a great popular dance until 2am, ideal for dancing the night away under a beautiful summer sky. And that’s not all! The next day, for the big day, there is a country style lunch at Place de la Tour, accompanied by entertainment and games for the whole family, throughout the afternoon.
