Cougar Football presented nationally on CW Network and FOX Sports in 2024

For the upcoming 2024 season, Pac-12 home football games will be broadcast to national audiences on The CW Network and FOX Sports, the conference and both networks announced Tuesday. As part of the partnership, 11 of the league’s 13 home football games will be broadcast on The CW, while two will be broadcast on FOX or FS1. These agreements with two leading broadcasters provide complete national coverage to showcase the strength of Oregon State and Washington State’s football programs and student-athletes.

Especially for fans, almost all home games will have set start times before the start of the season. The CW schedule is being announced today, and the two games on FOX or FS1 will be announced later this month. Additionally, as part of today’s announcement, the Pac-12’s production unit – Pac-12 Enterprises – will produce all 11 CW broadcasts.

“We are excited to announce these national partnerships with The CW and FOX,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould. “Football student-athletes from Oregon and Washington State deserve this elite internship as they continue to compete for the College Football Playoff, and Beaver and Cougar fans have a great opportunity to enjoy their teams’ success.”

For Washington State, five of its home games will be broadcast on the CW, starting with the Aug. 31 season opener against Portland State, which is scheduled to tip off at noon. The following week’s game against Texas Tech, September 7, will be broadcast on FOX or FS1 at a later select time.

The Cougars’ home game against San José State, originally scheduled for September 21st, has been moved to Friday, September 20th and will begin at 7pm on the CW. This weekend will also serve as family weekend on the Pullman campus. WSU will next play at home on October 19th against Hawaii as part of Homecoming Weekend. The Hawaii game will be broadcast on the CW with a start time of 12:30 or 7 p.m. The start time will be determined no later than 12 days before the game.

The same situation applies to WSU’s Nov. 19 home game against Utah State, with a 12:30 or 7:30 p.m. start time, with a final start time determined no more than 12 days in advance. This game will be shown on the CW. The Cougars conclude their regular season on November 30th, hosting Wyoming at Gesa Field at 3:30pm on the CW.

In addition to its home schedule, WSU’s Nov. 23 game at Oregon State will begin at 3:30 pm on the CW. Game times and broadcast networks for WSU’s remaining games will be announced in the coming months.

“We are excited to partner with the CW and FOX to broadcast Cougar Football nationally for the upcoming 2024 season,” said WSU Interim Director of Athletics Anne McCoy. “Having WSU in 100 percent of homes nationwide will broaden exposure for our student-athletes and the program and increase connection with our fans and alumni. Additionally, the partnership envisions nearly all game times at home are set in the spring, allowing our fan base to plan their fall weekends around Cougar Football.”

President of The CW Network Dennis Miller added, “Adding the Pac-12 Conference to The CW’s growing roster of live sports gives the network coast-to-coast coverage in key markets and solidifies our position as a national player in college sports. The CW will truly be a destination for all sports fans this fall, with impressive weekend lineups consisting of Pac-12 football, ACC football, LIV Golf and NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff races.

Today’s announcement includes several highlights for Oregon and Washington State football programs, alumni and fans, including:

  • True national exposure – Both FOX Sports and the CW reach 100% of U.S. households
  • Start times for almost all home football games are set before the season starts
  • A greater number of afternoon kickoff times to show Pac-12 football
