Colorado Springs Comedy Club to Host Headlining ‘Triple Threat’ This Weekend | Art
A former mayoral candidate, an Air Force veteran and a podcast host walk into a bar.

The comedy venue will host three main comedians this weekend, featuring Kallan Reece (former Springs mayoral candidate), Jonny Bratsveen (Air Force veteran) and John Brown (podcast host) in “Triple Threat.” The comedians, based in Colorado, will bring their own sets and style to two nights of jokes.
“You can expect a wild night,” Bratsveen said. “The three of us have a different style, so you won’t have three comics that are the same.”
Bratsveen, from Colorado Springs, is looking forward to performing once again at the Loonees.
“It’s like the physical embodiment of comedy. You go there, it’s not a big, fancy place where you feel like you have to wear a suit or something. You can come there and have a beer, laugh. It’s almost like being in your room,” Bratsveen said. “It’s a very hot place.”
Bratsveen, who appeared on Comedy Central, began his comedic career fresh out of the Air Force. With no direction, he returned home and started attending open mic nights. The rest is history.
“I was going to a lot of open mics and watching a lot of stand up. I thought, ‘You know, I think I can do this,’ like every 21-year-old does,” he said. “I finally got the courage to go out there and do it, and it’s been my addiction ever since.”
During the presentation, he will talk about funny observations in his life as a husband and father.
“It’s really just my observations of life,” he said. “It’s really more of an examination of who I am and my character flaws and why I find them funny.”
And like so many other comedians performing in Colorado, he can’t wait to hear from the Springs audience.
“I love telling jokes in Colorado Springs. The crowds here in the city are probably the best I’ve ever worked in front of, and I’ve been everywhere, but every time I’m on stage I feel right at home – you guys are so warm and welcoming. , diverse audience,” said Bratsveen.
