Cat Owner Leaves Groceries Unattended For A Brief Moment, Quickly Realizes Her Mistake
Social media users were thrilled with a greedy cat who couldn’t say no to the fresh groceries his owner evidently left just for him.
After returning home from the store, cat owner Olesya Krishchuk assumed that the groceries would be perfectly safe in the kitchen while she put her daughter to bed. However, that wasn’t the case, as she recounted News week that she came back and found her cat, named Blue, “eating a steak on the floor.”
The mischievous cat saw his opportunity and seized it. He decided to rummage through the abandoned shopping bags, and he wasn’t going to settle for the cans of cat food or the fresh vegetables — of course, he wanted the huge piece of raw meat.
“I just got back from a shopping trip and left my groceries on the floor because I had to put my daughter to bed,” Krishchuk said. “When I came back, I found my cat had gotten into the bag, chewed through the plastic on the steaks and pulled one out.”
Krishchuk was in complete disbelief at his cat’s antics, especially since she hadn’t even left the room for that long. Seeing “the worst thing” Blue could have done at that moment, Krishchuk took to TikTok to share his frustration.
The video, which was posted on June 20, showed the moment Krishchuk returned to the room, only to find Blue devouring her feast. The clip had everyone in hysterics — except Krishchuk, of course. In just a few days, it has already generated over 385,400 views and over 31,800 likes on TikTok.
Luckily, she can see the funny side and eventually manages to pry the piece of steak out of Blue’s paws. Needless to say, she really didn’t feel like eating it for dinner after that.
“We set it aside for him and fed him the following days. We normally give him whatever meat or seafood we’re eating anyway, so he just had a head start,” she said. News week.
After Blue’s greedy behavior went viral on TikTok, Krishchuk heard from many cat owners who shared similar experiences. To his surprise, some even said they would have still eaten the steak anyway, despite Blue having tried it first.
While the steak wasn’t intended for Blue, he certainly seemed to be enjoying it, and social media users couldn’t be happier for him. The viral video racked up over 630 comments in a matter of days, with many people praising him for being so audacious and brazen.
One TikTok user wrote: “Best day of my life.”
Another person replied: “I think that’s fair. You left out meat… the little guy is just living his best life.”
While another person joked: “He thanks you for hunting for him.”
