Atos concludes final technological rehearsal for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games
Paris, France – May 30, 2024 – Atos today announces the successful completion of the final Technology Trial ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This latest Technology Trial took place from 13th to 17th May at different locations in Paris and other Olympic and Paralympic Games locations.
Technology Trials are designed to test the extent to which IT policies and procedures and technology teams can handle real-life situations that could impact competitions. They also promote team cohesion and collaboration, while giving each person a clear sense of how to make a difference. As IT integration lead, Atos coordinated with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee (OCOG) and led the team of experts from all technology partners involved. 83 Technology Rehearsal Officers ran 1,400 scenarios to challenge more than 1,000 participants, similar to what they may encounter this summer. Scenarios tested included competition delays due to weather conditions, server disconnection, or team illness.
Technological Rehearsal operations were carried out at 39 facilities, including the Central Technological Operations Center in Barcelona, as well as specific facilities at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, such as the Technological Operations Center, the Main Press Center, the Stade de France, or competition venues in Lille, Lyon, Marseille and Tahiti.
This latest technology trial was successful as it did not identify any significant policy issues, while also improving some processes further.

For the past four years, Atos has been working closely with the Organizing Committee of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to prepare for the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad Paris 2024. By the Opening Ceremony, the Atos team will have carried out 250,000 hours of testing. from its Integration Testing Laboratory in Madrid, led two Technological Trials and participated in all sports test events organized by the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee or sports federations.
